Stunning Indiana Evans, 21, is about to hit the big time in the US. She plays the lead role of Emma Robinson in the telemovie Blue Lagoon: The Awakening.

The TV show is based on 1980s hit Blue Lagoon starring Brooke Shields.

Evans, who starred as Matilda Hunter on Home and Away, filmed in Maui, Hawaii, and Los Angeles earlier this year.

“Just turning up there and the sheer scale of it all, with everyone having a trailer,” she said.

“That was a small budget for them, but it was the biggest thing I’ve ever done. It was very busy. There were big days to try to get it done quickly. There were paparazzi and I really wasn’t expecting that.”

Evans stars with fellow Aussie Brenton Thwaites, who plays the lead role of Dean McMullen.

The show airs this weekend on US cable network Lifetime.
